With eight of the worlds highest peaks, Nepal is loaded with spectacular mountains vistas. The name “Everest” is a magic in itself. EVEREST (8848m.) is called “SAGARMATHA” in Nepali-“Higher than the sky” and “CHHOMOLUNGMA” in Tibetan-“Mother Goddess of the Earth”. The quickest and easiest way to reach this region is by flight to Lukla at 2827m. The Solu-Khumbu region has sweeping glaciers, magnificent mountains, forests, animals, birds, monasteries and is the home of the world famous Sherpa people.

Dolpo is an ancient Tibetan kingdom located in the north east part of Nepal. It was only opened to trekkers in 1990. The Himalayan range can be seen in all its splendor, and Phoksondo lake with the Ringmo village provide some of the most beautiful Nepalese scenery. We follow the ancient Tibetan salt caravan route, across two high passes and through the wilderness in one of Nepal’s most remote areas.

Dolpo is located inside the Shey Phoksundo National Park of mid-western Nepal, behind the Northside of the Dhaulagiri massif towards the Tibetan plateau.

The Everest region is certainly one of the most stunning mountain areas on earth. This short route enables trekkers who have a limited time to discover the most famous beauties of Nepal. Set amongst breath-taking high mountain scenery, the route leads through the Khumbu - Sherpa country. 2 routes are possible: Renjo Pass trek or an alternative itinerary. The trail to Gokyo is a gradual ascent up the valley passing through patches of birch and rhododendron forest where the elusive musk deer can sometimes be seen.
